What is your favorite thing about a hotel? The pool most important? The restaurant selection? Give some details please...

A quick zip through on the Orbitz website pulled up an $89 rate at the Wyndham in Lake Buena Vista which is right next to WDW and
offers complimentary shuttles in/out of the park. It's a 4-star property which makes it a pretty terrific deal.

The kids are staying at the Disney Property..not sure where the Awards Ceremony will be held...Its so difficult because the reviews on so many of them are pretty awful even the expensive ones...Kyle I was looking into the Buena vista Resort and Spa and the reviews from very recently were pretty awful..lol

at this point I am willing to spend up to 250.00 Id like to be near restaurants but we dont mind driving..

With $250 you have the choice of staying in probably any of the moderate on-site Disney hotels. Disney World Hotels | Resorts Comparison | Walt Disney World Resort They're all going to be held to Disney's quality standards.

250 gives you many more options ... great options! I am assuming you are a FL resident based on your Boca Raton location.

Swan or Dolphin have FL resident rates and they are very nice hotels within the Disney complex, with restaurants on site and nearby. Even though the advert mentions a second room and Disney tickets you don't need to purchase those. The FL resident rate starts at $159 at the Dolphin.
Hilton Bonnet Creek in the Disney complex also has FL resident rates.

Waldorf Astoria has good rates also.
Florida Resident Special
Florida residents can enjoy even more of their backyard with our Florida Resident Special. Enjoy our endless amenities including golf, spa, pools, complimentary direct transportation to Walt Disney World® Resort theme parks and great dining with Kids Eat Free* at an even better rate! Starting @ $189/night

Hey Swimmom

I recommend either the Swan or Dolphin.

Buena Vista is also extremely nice.

I also recommend the swan or Dolphin, they are more business oriented
since the others will be in Disney property they can be connected by transportation. We stayed at the the Swan and it was awesome.
they have the "heavenly beds" it is very clean and smells really good (they use a proprietary white tea scent in their air ducts) I asked
