I am moving back to Missouri on Friday. I feel like I renounced my Oklahoma citizenship today. I turned in my Pikepass.

Good for you. I would like to do that, too. At least for the summers. They kill me. That .... and the bible talk.

Missouri, especially southwest Missouri is little different from Oklahoma. So not much will be gained.

Sorry if I sounded like I was happy to be leaving. We moved to OK due to job transfer, now I'm retired and returning to Kansas City to be with all our family. If it weren't for them, I'd probably stay. I have enjoyed living here.

Lucky you. As soon as I finish some business here I am considering moving back to the Ozarks Branson/Hollister/Forsyth area I lived there before and spent most of my summers as a kid there and to be honest I growing kind of tired of OK. Good Luck

What do you find so different about that area from OK? It seems so similar to me.

I bet since the elevation is higher that it's cooler there in the summer with maybe it not too unusualy for a summer to go by with it never going over 100.

So that and the fact it's a tourist destination I suppose? The culture seems like a mirror image.
