My folks are going to driving out to Vegas next week, from S.C. Their planned route is to go through OK on I-40. Have the rains affected any parts of that ?

Off the top of my head I am going to say, not really. Our granddaughter lives in OKC. Yes, they have had a lot of rain, but not the inches that the northwest and MO have had. She just says they are getting tired of looking at it, nothing about real flooding.

There are many flooded areas around OKC but not right on #40. I am 80 miles east of the city and get my weather alerts from there. We are to have a dryer week end then more storms is what was said today.

You could probably download I News Channel 9 for OKC weather report no matter where you live to keep track. I use the radar option most often. My tv goes out in storms but rarely the computer IF I am brave enough to leave it on. I don't leave it on if there is lightening.

good luck to the folks,

LindaC in OK

I-40 is a go all the way...Floods in Oklahoma rarely affect the interstates
