Actually, when I lived in Phoenix back in 1978, the climatologists were saying then that due to backyard swimming pools and man made lakes Phoenix had much higher humidity levels then it did in the early 1900s. I can just image what it's like now, thirty years later.

Here in NJ the humidity gets bad around the 4th of July and goes until close to the end of August. During that time I do nothing. I hang out either in a pool or in a/c. I can't even THINK in hot, humid weather. That's what makes the fall such a wonderful time for me. Cool air!!

I have heard the old timers say that humidity in OK was much lower before we built all the lakes. Of course, there was no water to drink then so I guess we will have to learn to live with the humidity.

Yes, Colleeng, and you better get used to it for about 5 months when you move here. It is sheer torture for at least 3 months. I even buy a kiddie pool for my shepherd! And once I even had to lie in that pool after doing yard work. I thought I was going to die.

SAVE THE WHALE~!

Yes colleen, be prepared for some fairly brutal Summers in Oklahoma. But, if you lived in Georgia and Arizona you've seen just as bad if not worse.

Wow, it was warmer up there than it was down here. It reached about 77 here in my neck of the woods.
