btw, when dh was battling kidney cancer about 12 years ago, he was working as a computer consultant, and went to a couple of jobs with the bag attached to him, that he had to go to the restroom to empty. the night before his surgery the basement flooded and there he was bailing out the water in hip boots, with his bag attached. he next morning he got himself up at 3 AM and drove himself to the hospital to have his kidney removed because we had two very young kids that i couldn't leave. BUT -- we survived it all, and you will survive yours as well.

good luck.
Wow, you and your family have my vote for perseverance colleen. Congrats to you and you husband!

Hi CG,
I'm glad to hear that there's "alittle" improvment there.
I,ve had double pnumonia and broncitis at the same time and I had to sleep sitting up in order to breath, so I know how it can wear you out in no time.
Good luck on your contract and our prayers are with you.

CeeG, I had no idea you were THAT sick. Sorry to hear about your illness, but happy to see you are determined to tough it out.

Still....

I think you need bedrest, screw the contract. If they knew how ill you really are, I am sure they would give you a week to recuperate. I hope you daughter getst to feeling better also. I bet your wife is freaking out over all this.

Colleeng, your husband is THE MAN. I have great respect for him as I could not have accomplished what he did.

As June7 says,

Take gentle care.

the amazing thing is, when we tell that story we always laugh so hard. we are lucky enough to be able to put a funny spin on almost anything. y'all should hear his story about the time he went sky diving and both chutes opened on him! in fact when we have our bar be que this summer, i'll have him tell that story. very funny.

Colleen, that must have been rough. Your DH must be a strong person.

I agree about the hot chocolate & Oprah. Things have a way of working out. Years ago I had a serious illness that caused me to miss 3 months of work when we were basically living paycheck to paycheck anyway. I was really worried about finances, but it all did work out later. I had to realize that my child needed me alive more than he needed my paycheck.

CG is still battling the illness. He's slowly getting better and is getting more sleep. He's also determined that he's not going to "overdo it" this time around. I just thought all of you would like to know why he hasn't been on here lately. Get well CG!
