I'm not liking the way today is going so far... Besides having J home sick and sounding like he is going to hack up a lung at any moment, my Step-Mom called to say she had to take my Dad to the ER last night because he passed out. ER has no idea why and is sending him for a follow up Dr. visit on Monday.

During the phone call she also mentioned that my 1 remaining Brother is en-route to see a specialist in No. CA because he is having heart arrhythmias and they can't seem to get it settled.

*sigh* Well at least it is still raining...

Has Seabee DM any of our cell #'s to you yet? (You know he had a B-day last Tuesday, 3/10.....28 w/20yrs experience!)

We're sending good thoughts your way for those who aren't feeling well.

The way things are really going, you may want to plan two types of clothes. Bring heavy and bring light clothes, just in case things warm up a bit. It's been a crazy winter, hasn't it?

Tell Seabee to wear plaid khaki short pants with black over=the=calf sox and his combat boots. A 3x wife=beater t-shirt and a cowboy hat done redneck style.

Naw, but tell Seabee to stop at the Oklahoma Travel Center and get your tornado and hail damage insurance.

I've heard of some of the others on the 'similar tapes' but not that one. I did notice that they were careful not to name any specific lakes, though.

Thunderbird and Tenkiller were mentioned prominently. However, I think this is bogus. They talk about Native American legends but Tenkiller didn't exist before 1946 and Thunderbird Lake didn't exist before 1965; they're both man-made lakes.

Default Houston we have a go!!!!!

Hey guys,

Well the boss has given the thumbs up that I'm clear for being absent from work, ( I'm laid-off) anyway. So Bjb123 and I are out of here at about 4am on
the morning of the 19th. The first stop in Oklahoma will probibly be in Muskogee, over night stay. We'll be on the raod for approx. 15 to 17 hours, so we'll be a little tired, so say the least.

RedBird, you have my cell number already,or atleast I hope you still have, but if not let me know if you want it again. I'm not quite sure who lives exactly where and who is the closest to Muskogee, but I guess we'll just have to play it by ear. I know that LadyRobyn and MK live somewhere around the duncan area, we can visit them on our way to Ft Sill, and Goodpasture lives north and PeggyD lives around Holdenville . So LR and MK if you would like to trade Ph# please let us know. Colleeng, RB, Karibear and anyone I have missed, lets us know where the best place would be to meet up at, I would like to keep close to RB because of Uncle Don.

Oh, and does anyone have any good tips on places to stay, not to expensive, but a dump either, please I'm not Howard Hughes ya know . As far as Ft Sill goes, I think that we may be able to get lodging on Base since I'm retired military.

I truly hope that I didn't leave anyone out and if I did please forgive me. I'm just very happy that we're going to be able to make this trip finally and get to see all of out Okie freinds for the first time and revisit Ft Sill after 28 years .

Please let me know what going on and any ideas are welcome too.

Thanks Guys,

SBB & BJB

Synopsis, move to Oklahoma will ya, so we can visit you as well.

I lived in Rotten (Lawton) in 77 and let me tell you, it has changed! We always stay where they have free continental breakfast like at La Quinta. But I think a lot of places are doing that nowadys.

P.S. Get a snipe license with your tornado chaser permit at the OK travel center.

Remember to pack your "I'm on vacation" clothes.
