Here is Lulu the Mangificent in her natural surroundings.

Hey Kari! Looks like you need a pooper scooper. And stop throwing them horse apples at the neighbors!

Good job, Kari.

It's called a shovel. And believe it or not, those are mostly piles of leaves the dogs play in. But you should see her after she lays down and rolls around in the mud - curls up just like one of the dogs in the sunshine, then when she gets back up, all that white is sort of gray. And she's never been brushed before, so it's, umm, interesting, trying to get her cleaned up again.

And her name is LOLA, not LULU!

Hey RB, thanks for the pic. Now we know. Hey Karibear, are we gonna know how your garden grows next Spring? Is she broken, or do you still have to do that? Not liking grooming sounds like she might be a tough little cookie. It's great seeing her. Can't wait to see her coat now that the weather is getting cold. I like paints. (Pinto) So perfect for OK. Enjoy her, she's purty.

Default Long-lost writings found - in a cave!!!

Hey Karibear and Synopsis:

I was checking for some mail on the Yahoo sight I opened just to use for business and junk mail, so it would not get in my family and personal stuff. I never look there because I seldom give out that address. When I did, there were 47 or so messages, most junk from Apple and whoever. I don't know how you guys ever got that e-mail address. Not too savvy with that kinda stuff, but I saw a bunch of your messages from July. Sorry, I wasn't ignoring anyone, just never thought to look at the yahoo mail. I use my AOL for family and friends and just never go to the other one. I learned the hard way by giving my first e-mail address to Circuit City ONE TIME, before I learned better. They still barrage me with crap. I have gone to "opt out" and it didn't. Just more junk everyday. At least it's not wasting paper and it's so easy to dump. Don't even have to haul it to the curb every week.

In the future I shall check over there every month or so to see what's happenin'. I just always assumed anything from any of yawl would be right there on the forums. Silly me.

Oh, she's not a tough cookie, she's just been abused and neglected - more neglected than anything. But she was terrified of anything that even looked like a rope, and it took me at least a couple weeks to get that halter on her - I left one in the garage/barn so she could get used to seeing it, and she stole it and hid it somewhere. I still haven't found it. Otherwise, she follows me around just like one of the dogs, hoping for treats. Overall, she's gentle and tolerant, which is a good thing, because one of my dogs - a beagle - tends to follow his nose instead of looking where he's going, and he's actually run into her a few times. She just nudges him out of the way, and he looks so surpised that she's there every time! The people I got her from said they used to let their grandkids ride her bareback, they'd tie a rope around her neck and lead her, so I guess she's been at least somewhat broken to ride. I don't know if that includes ever having a real bridle and saddle on her or not, though. It will be interesting to find out.

My garden should grow quite nicely next spring - I'll have a whole lot of organic fertilizer!

Actually, she does look pretty good - when I first got her, she was awfully ribby, not because of being out of condition, but just underfed. Every time the sun hit her right, you could see all her ribs. Now she's making up for lost time and meals.
