Those dames had it made. Selling smokes in some nightclub and getting slapped on the fanny.

More like getting pinched until they were black and blue.

Default Copy of letter from GOV. Brad Henry

(Sent by Oscar Jackson on behalf of Governor Brad Henry)

Dear Distinguished Department, Agency and Commission Leaders,

Oklahoma is waging a war on methamphetamine like never before, and we need
your help to win. For the past several months, Kim and I (mostly Kim) have
been working hard on a campaign called Crystal Darkness Oklahoma. This
initiative is combining resources in the public and private sector to
prevent our children from experimenting with meth and to save those who are
on the brink of being forever trapped by this insidious drug.

At 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 13, 2009, every local television station in Oklahoma
will air Crystal Darkness Oklahoma, a gripping 30-minute documentary about
those affected by meth in our state. I encourage all of you to watch, and
I ask that you also encourage your employees to watch. You can even visit
Crystal Darkness Oklahoma (http://www.crystaldarknessoklahoma.org - broken link) and schedule a watch party, which I hope
you and your employees will do. Churches, communities, businesses, private
organizations and even households are scheduling their own watch parties.
Please join us as we take the fight against meth in Oklahoma to the next
level.

With your help, we will win the state’s largest war on methamphetamine.

Sincerely,
Brad Henry
Governor

Just so everyone is aware, I'm reading your thread trying to learn about OK. I'm interested in seeing your great state on day soon. I've only seen just a little tiny area in the very SE part way back in 1963,

Best areas to have nice gardens. Good black dirt. Info on well availability for small garden irrigation. I use the CD stats for general stats but somethings you just need to hear from someone who knows more details than offered by the stat side of CD. Thanks

The dirt here isn't all that black, but stuff sure does grow in it! Every time the wind blows, there's a new pile of dust in one of my gutters and all kinds of things sprout in it. Go back a few pages or so [maybe 4 or 5 by now] and look for the OK gardener's thread. There are a lot of really nice pictures of stuff growing on it.

Default Pump up the volume!

And you thought you were having a bad day...

Former Creek County Judge Donald Thompson, 62, was arrested by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper about 3 a.m. on a complaint of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Thompson served two years in prison for indecent exposure for using a penis pump while he was on the bench during court proceedings.
