Yep LR that's the one. It was Tom and his wife but who knows what's going on 13 years later. That must be a pic of the new place. The old one had super high ceilings and a balcony for parties. Real 70's fern bar look. He had some of the first solar around back then. Sort of turncoat hippies done good.

Thanks.
Between being sick and being disgusted with the hiring practices of
some of the companies out here, I wasn't feeling very social.

Probably right here at the machine.
The storm wasn't too serious in my neck of the woods.

OK ain't bad except for the heat and the IT employment market...
Plenty of jobs, but they are REALLY slow about hiring here.

I got a job last Friday, but when I showed up Monday
morning, I was told that they weren't ready for me yet
and they'd call me next week...
Pretty unprofessional as far as I'm concerned...

Just applied for 2 new jobs this morning...
Unfortunately, I won't hear from them soon
enough to tell my current employer (if you want to call them that)
that I took another job while I was waiting for them to get their stuff together.

I think you'll have a better experience in your line of work
if you guys decide to head down here...

Having seen both places, OK is better than OH....
(IMHO of course.)

Are you still keeping harsh hours, or are you back to
wake this place up?

Default DH got a job!

Doug had an interview yesterday and they hired him on the spot. Almost caused cardiac arrest. As CG's been saying, things move very slowly here, but this company was anxious to get someone in. He starts Monday, I start with the State Tuesday, and Anna starts school Wednesday, so we're taking the rest of the week as a vacation. Woo hoo!
