Those are great pictures Cali. I heard about the tornadoes out there, and in Colorado of all places. They said one RV driver was killed when he tried to outrun the tornado.

Stay safe young lady!

In a showdown, I'd probably prefer my S&W M66.... (.357)

Or my Beretta 92-FS (9mm):

(Peggy won't like this one... It has 16-round magazines.)

Or Mrs. CG's Ruger Sp-101 (.357):

Although, you're right....
Short of the holster issue, it's very hard to miss with a 12-gage.

None of the weapons posted here are especially heavy...
Peggy would have no problem with them...
In fact Penguie has no problem with them...
Not following you here Bro....

And NO, for the LAST time, I would NOT like to see your &^%$#&^% wibcam!
(You better explain the foul language if I get busted for it!)

It wasn't meant to be "technically accurate" smarty boy. I was just making a "funny."

I think Lilly needs to give you a serious butt whoopin.. You need to be put in your place on this Memorial Day weekend Mr. CG!

On the other hand, it DOES sound like you're gettin' your mojo back..

BTW, would you like to see me wib cam?

Britney, your neighborhood has beautiful foliage. And, like Synopsis said, stay safe!

Re home-defense weapons, any opinions on
1) clip-fed shotguns? I think Saiga makes one, and
2) using a carbine instead of a pistol or shotgun?

IMHO....

Clip-fed offers volume over reliability...
(The one time it matters, something will fail.)
Besides... Have you ever heard the sound of a pump-action 12-gage?
(Even before it's ever fired?)

The problem with carbines and pistols for home defense is that they
are too likely to penetrate your target and walls....

A 12-gage with #4 shot will blow a nice hole in your target without
usually harming people on the other side of the wall....
A pistol or rifle on the other-hand can easily penetrate exterior walls.
(Even with hollow-points.)
Our goal here is to stop the perpetrator, and to not harm any innocents.

I didn't always think a 12-gage was best, but after lots of time at the range,
with many different calibers, targets, ranges and types of ammo, I came around to that way of thinking...

I'd like to hear other opinions though...
