Same thing in OK!

I would say that in Oklahoma, the younger generation is much more accepting about differences in race than the older generation. It is common to see groups of kids having fun together with all races represented. The older people seem to keep to their own race. I am white, and people in Holdenville and the surrounding area who are of a different race are very friendly toward me.

Personally, I would be very happy in this house. Would some of those cali's looking to relocate be happy here? What do you think?

Someone in Holdenville has a nice garden. And NO WEEDS! How do they make the grass stop growing right up to the edge like that? Oh, it's called hoeing.

Okay, this house is on the old side, but they keep the yard up, mowing looks good. Kind of reminds me of the movie The Outsiders. I wonder if some aging greaser from yesteryear tore that screen door off when Ponyboy and Sodapop got into that rumble with the Soc's.

This reminds me of what a neighbor here in OK. told me when I first got here.

The guy is about 80 yrs old. He told me that his great grand father owned property in different parts of OK. One time they were play in the woods when it started getting dark.
As the sun went down it was shining through the woods onto one of the biggest/oldest trees around there. All of a sudden they seen a reflection from the tree shaped like a star. They went over to see what it was and found it a rifle from the Civil War that had been stuck in the tree after the war was over and the tree grew around it. The only part that could be seen was a small metal part of the barrel through rotted out hole in the tree.

Interesting story MK. I hope you have good luck in finding employment. You know what? That advice you gave me on the gas in my weed eater was spot on!

It now runs like a champ.

Anyway, I wish you the best and hope you find a good, solid employer if you haven't already.
