WOW, beautiful pictures, LadyRobyn! Well, we had a lot more ice so that was the reason my ice storm pictures looked good. Your sunset pictures are really great.

Wow, those sunrise and sunset photos are some of the most beautiful pictures, they really are. Thanks LadyRobyn!

Thank YOU all for your kind words! I've had people from out of state ask me what type of filter or 'after processing' I used to get those colors... Some didn't believe that our sky here does that all on its own!

I'm going to miss the stark beauty of the bare trees and the birdhouse against the flame colored sky this year... I had to trade my "view" for some really sweet neighbors (who I just ADORE). They took out the trees and the birdhouse and built a 2 car garage. *sigh* I still think it was a fair trade though, I'll just have to find another vantage point for my sunset watching.

Here are some pictures of the #9 Marina at Lake Eufaula:

People just have all kinds of boats at Eufaula. I have put some other photos of Lake Eufaula up on the Eufaula thread. These pictures were taken on a Thursday in September so not many boats were on the lake.

Hi Jammie! Glad to see you back.

(Peggy yours are MUCH prettier!!)

The Snowplows and Sand trucks don't make it down to our side of town, so we just throw on our boots and *crunch* our way to the little store nearby! I love that the Snow/Ice usually doesn't last more than a few days... long enough to enjoy, but not long enough to become tedious.

Sunsets are amazing:

I had never seen "Popcorn Clouds" before we moved here...these were just after a storm, during sunset:

the 'popcorn' clouds you refer to are called mammatus clouds; usually preceding or after a significant storm.

The funny thing about the link I'm about to post is that their first photo example of a mammatus cloud is from Tulsa...

Fall is in the air, well...sort of. I was walking in my backyard today and came across this blazing display of fall color. No pun intended. I will say though that the trees along our creek have a slight shade of yellow now if you stop to look at it.

Hey, thanks Nameless. We haven't seen anything of the sort down here in Texas. You can tell by the angle of the sunlight that Fall is approaching. The sun is quite a bit dimmer at this time of the year and it stays darker much later into the morning. The temps have been pleasant. Well, around 90, but when you're talking about Texas, anything below 95 is a COLD FRONT.
