Agree or disagree? Is OKC ready to join ranks with the NYCs, LAs, and Houstons of the nation?

No. Oklahoma City is small compared to the Big League Cities, not to mention a less diversified economy, somewhat sparse nightlife, not many universities or colleges, etc.

It may be there someday, but not right now. It's still a nice city that is definitely going places.

When the Sonics moved from Seattle to OKC I believe it put OKC into another league. Having a major pro sports team (MLB,NFL,NBA) goes a long way in how a city is perceived. I think OKC is in the process of making the transition. They are close. In twenty years they will be there, now they are on the boarder, but the Thunder has helped a great deal.

Anyone can make a video about their city and make it look great.

You know, OKC's density is in the toilet and their transportation isn't great either. I'llgive them a big league city when it comes to sports, but when it comes to cities like NY,LA, etc. like the OP described, OKC can't even be in the convo

OKC isn't ready to join those cities that were mentioned by a long shot, but I do think it's moving up a notch into the tier of cities that currently include Nashville, Indianapolis, Orlando, Sacramento, etc. They are thinking big and making some positive moves, and I've got to give them credit for that.

With all due respect. NO. They don't even deserve the basketball team their owner hijacked.

Nope. OKC is right there with other cities like Sacramento, Memphis, Nashville, etc. I wouldn't put it into the NYC/LA category, or near the Houston/Dallas category yet (doubt it reaches there).

No. There are in tier with Fresno, El Paso, Buffalo, Norfolk, Albany. I still think Sacramento, Portland, San Antonio, Columbus and Nashville are above them.
