Never say never...

Btw, how could you not get a job in healthcare in Ohio? There are openings everywhere.

Be careful with that T-word lol.

I got 3 infractions so far just for using that word. I even got 1 for calling someone T-like, when they were blatantly being a T. I don't know why people are allowed to T, yet you can't call them out for it without it being considered a personal attack.

BTW with the thread topic, I am not planning on leaving Ohio. Maybe for a visit in the many areas I have family/friends and have traveled to, but not moving there.

Not for RN's, there aren't. CC and University have a hiring freeze. Too many nursing schools, and not enough positions.

2) why do you want to leave?= Ashtabula is a joke. The town looks like a nuclear bombed was dropped on it, 50% of the city's residents either make or use Meth, there are no jobs, the city govt is a laughing stock, along with the city school board, and it's just plain ugly, with nothing to look at, but the that mercury filled cess pool, Lake Erie.

3)where outside ohio and why?= Colorado Springs, Colorado. Major high paying jobs in my field, beautiful scenery, clean air, and very little snow.

4)2nd and 3rd place choices= Maybe Houston, or Montana

5)what's holding you back from moving? I'm trying to save about $5000 for the move. Pro movers cost alot of $$$

6) Anything else you want to say= I say good riddance to Ohio and the midwest in general. Will the last one to leave Ashtabula please turn out the lights?
Still the best decision I ever made.

You listed Houston as a possible destination... I think if you had made it there you'd have been surprised at how dirty that city is and how bad the meth problem is down there.

On that note, I'm not the biggest fan of Ashtabula but there are far worse places to live in America... like Texas.

Try reading the Texas forum on C-D sometime. Self-congratulation must be Texas' biggest export, after dumb political candidates.

Ohio has it's share of dumb candidates (Kucinich).

Every state does, but at least ours don't become prominent presidential candidates (or president). They become governor. Besides, I thought Kucinich's district was being eliminated?
