Looks like the rain is keeping a lot of the kids away. Or... did they all decide to go trick or treating at the White House?

We might get another 10 or so older kids, but as far as the young kids go looks like we're done. The good news is... more candy for me! Now all I need is a win for the Yankees tonight. Because forget Freddie Kruger--if Philly wins that would be scary.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Yeah, it was pretty sparse for us too. Only sixteen kids and we were done in about 15 minutes!

We're on a cul-de-sac off another cul-de-sac on half acre wooded lots so usually do not get many, other than the few families still with small kids back here, but this year, so far, none at all. That really even surprises me.

About normal here....which is never many, houses are too far apart and the driveways are too long.

But all the kids know my driveway is definitely worth the trek!

Excellent treats? Or are you one of those houses that have ghosts that swoop down from the trees or some other cool effect?

...and, most important question of all....

How late are you handing out treats? Is it too late for me to get over there?

We're still going strong here. Good thing we got those two extra bags of candy!

LOL, one year we ran out and had to start handing out lifesaver breath mints!

I don't get it. Why doesn't anyone trick-or-treat in Reston/Herndon? I still haven't had even one trick-or-treater yet, and a forum friend from Herndon hasn't had one yet either. What gives?

You're in an apartment complex, as we told you before most kids go to the sfh neighborhoods. So forget about trick or treaters.... Georgetown is calling you! Seriously, that's the place for the young single crowd on Halloween. All kinds of parties closer, too, if you don't want to trek all the way to DC.

Lots of Halloween parties listed here: On Tap Magazine | Home

It's just so depressing. I was looking forward to making some kiddo's night tonight by handing out a boatload of candy. This was to be my first Halloween living at my own place, and now it's well past 8 and we still haven't had even one drop by yet (yet another reason I'd never want to live in an apartment forever).
