This may sound like a dumb question but once each station is complete will it be ready to use. Like right now the easternmost station is being constructed in tysons. once it's done can you metro to west falls church and transfer to the orange line to dc?

I'm not sure how they're going to work it. Construction just started, so they've got time to figure it out.

I was here when they constructed the green line and when they extended the red line. And as each station was constructed, it became usable. In other words, people didn't have to wait for the whole line to be done to use it.

You won't need to transfer at West Falls Church - the Silver Line is planned to go all the way into DC.

Yep - the easternmost stop for the Silver Line is Stadium-Armory.

This line has been talked about for 40 years. I would not count on it being completed any time soon.

5 years to Tysons, 10 to Herndon/Dulles. Not soon, but definitely not more than one decade - just drive up 495/Tysons to see how much has already been done.
