Does anyone have any recommendations for good through carpet cleaners in the NoVA area? Any experiences, good or bad, or recs would be appreciated. Thanks!

I used Astrobrite carpet cleaning this week and they used the Rotovac which is for deep cleaning bad stains. They were able to get all the stains out and made it look almost new again. They were also able to get the pet odor out as well. I recommend them highly. You can find them at Astrobrite Carpet Cleaning Northern Virginia Carpet Service Va

We have used (ACS) Ayoub Carpet Service twice and have been very pleased with them both times. They did an excellent job cleaning our carpets. They were ranked very high from Checkbook Magazine and the Washingtonian Magazine. They are located in Chantilly and you can check them out on their web site at: www.rugcare.com

I also called Ayoub based on the positive reports as noted above and they did carpet and furniture cleaning this spring for me. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with them. Although they were quite pleasant and the cleaning itself was good, they greatly overcharged me (>$750 for less than 4 person-hours of work) and did not apply the fabric protective finish that was included in the price quote.

Stay away from Cardinal carpet cleaning. You'll get their coupons in the value pak or neighborhood coupon book, but don't get sucked in. The guys came in and proceeded to up-sell their services (which I expected), but I truly expected them to actually clean the carpets. They didn't vacuum anything before they turned on the 'cleaner' so they ground in all the dog hair or whatever was on the carpet. And they didn't spot clean (even though I'd scheduled to pay for the additional service) and dashed through the house (over 4000 sq feet) in less than an hour. When I guestioned them and called their manager I was told they only vacuum if requested. Who knew?? The manager offered to have the guys go back to vacuum the next day since they can't vacuum while the carpet is wet, but what good does that do? All the stuff is now ground in! I had company coming that evening to stay for a week, so coming back tomorrow to vacuum was a useless offer. The carpet was still dirty and I had to have another company come in to do it right. And no, I didn't pay them the full amount. Steer clear!

ACWhite - I'm glad you commented about your recent experience with ACS. I was getting ready to call them again soon to do my carpets, but I might reconsider now. I must admit that they were a little expensive, but they did a good job on our carpet cleaning. I don't want to be overcharged either, especially when money is a little tighter nowdays due to gas being over $4.00 a gallon!

Default Astrobrite carpet cleaning got every stain out!

After two weeks my stains have not come back. I know the reason is because Astrobrite didn't get the carpets too wet and they dried in 2-3 hours. They smell great and I had no problems so I scheduled for them to clean my upholstery. They restored my sofa and love seat I had in the recreation room that my dog had used for years. I cannot find any hairs on it and it looks and smells great! You can find them at www.astrobrite.net or 703-914-2811

I really like Unforgettable Carpet Cleaning in Springfield. They're more expensive than most places but do a more thorough job. They'll give you a price quote over the phone to help you make your decision.

I used Astrobrite carpet cleaning after reading this forum. They did an exceptional job considering my rugs are over 8 years old. After years of the dogs and kids abusing them I can honestly say they are clean once again. Their a great company to do business with even though they were 15 minutes late. I would use them again.
