keynejad,

I am not familiar with Mercedes. For what it is worth, here are some area dealer links:

I would like to know what area would be in need or could use a mechanic shop specialized in Mercedes Benz. Maybe, somebody could help me by letting me know in what areas I can find more people driving them, etc.

Any MB dealership should suffice...the further it is from Tyson's the cheaper the labor rate will most likely be too.

I don't think anyone here will be able to give you a good answer. Mercedes drivers are all over the metro area; some people might go to a place close to work as opposed to close to where they live, some people might have an attachment to a certain shop and will be willing to drive miles to get to it, some people like certain mechanics, etc. So, you might not be able to narrow it down to a good location for a shop.

You might get better information asking the question on a forum aimed at Mercedes drivers. I used to belong to one for the type of car I have, and it had a section with topics broken down by states.

Default Good Mercedes Service

Well I took my car to:

Mars automotive Group in Manassas
8395-H Euclid Avenue
Manassas Park, VA 20111
703-361-2811

http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Mars.Automotive.Group.Inc..703-361-2811

I went to Mars (I just found them on google) after I took it to the dealer for a state inspection and they wanted $2,900 to fix an oil leak that damaged a bunch of sensors so it wouldn't pass inspection.

I really didn't believe the dealer in tysons (HBL Mercedes) because they changed their story about what was really wrong as I have a OBD-II diagnostic sensor program at home and plugged my car into it and it didn't jive with what they were saying. I took it to Mars and they said it may be a high flow sensor that was bad and it would cost about $400 to replace.

Mars called me the next day and told me someone had loosened all of the sensor relay wires and they just tightened them and everything was fine and they charged me $180 for the time it took to figure out the problem and fix it.

These guys saved me $2720 and gave me a ride home which is 15 miles away and picked me up again when my car was ready. Based on that experience I would HIGHLY recommend them for someone looking for an honest mercedes mechanic.

I am always boosting Sterling, so there is a Mercedes dealer here and lots of Mercedes drivers. FYI, there is also a Maserati dealer and a Lamborghini dealer here, so I would think the clients would be here for a business to service any high end automobile.

DC, Arlington, McLean, Tysons (pretty much everywhere) there are TONS of MB drivers. I would say, the Arlington MB is more expensive than the others, so if you are looking to start a business or something and are able to provide a more competitive rate, Arlington/DC would be a good area. For DC residents, the closest MB dealership is either Arlington or Bethesda I think.

I just took my car into a new shop in Alexandria that specializes in Mercedes, BMW and Porsche. The owners are master-certified technicians so they are knowledgeable and they seem to have more reasonable prices than the dealerships. I was really happy with the service. Check them out if you are still looking:
