People cannot say that. I've seen deer wandering around at the west end of the Memorial Bridge many times. I have even seen deer wandering by Albert's status on Constitution Ave.

People really say / think things like that? I used to see dead deer on the GW parkway all the time, even through Alexandria and south of it. I've seen living deer trotting down the middle of Mt. Vernon Avenue in Del Ray at night, and in daylight several times before. There are deer all over the place. Yes there are probably MORE way out in the burbs / more rural areas, but there are still plenty in the city

Are you kidding me, I was in bumper to bumper traffic the other day on 95 and as I looked to my right there's a deer walking in the brush faster than I was going on 95! They are all over the place where i live, when it starts snowing thats when you have to be careful because they start getting ansy and start running. Thats when they cause accidents on the roads.

I've had a few conversations with the gardeners at the Smithsonian and they say deer eating the roses are a real problem there.

They should go trick or treating at the White House. I hear the Obamas are giving out dried fruit this year.

No one would probably even notice that they're real deer - they'll say, "well, don't you look cute in your deer costume!"
