I just picked up an antique car that needs a little work, but I think it may be more suited to someone who has experience with the metal craft and fixed tops that the Amish are known for. We're talking old as in partial wood contruction old. I really don't want to drag the thing all the way to Lancaster; I figure there has to be someone in NEPA who specializes in Amish buggys or maybe has a carriage works business.

You can try the folks who run the Poconos Farm Market. The are Amish, they build sheds and have a farmer's market that is open on Saturdays on Rt. 115 in Blakeslee. Tthey might be able to help you out with someone who specializes in Amish buggies. It's worth a shot.
Their phone is 570-458-4017 from 8 - 830 a.m. on Mon. Tues & Wed. only

The buggy museum and Buggytown in Mifflinburg (Union County), but that may be just as far as Lancaster for you, depending on where you are.

Beautiful car, what wood is bad on it? I have a 1902 Oldsmobile, that had some rotted floor boards, I do not think an amish buggy repair place would even touch that. MAybe a mechanic

The wood is actually in great shape, but the top is made of some sort of material that looks like the same stuff they use, and it's attached with tacks or nails into the wood. The top would have to be custom made, as nobody reproduces them. The driver's side has some sheetmetal damage, which will need to be hammered back out, as you really can't find replacements.
