Riverside4ever,

Hey, here is your opportunity - they cut the holes for your ice fishing!

I have to get up to one of these ice harvest. I had a great uncle that built a lake just for ice harvesting.

But why drive 50 miles when there are 20 lakes within a 5 mile radius ...

Living in the old days was tough . Imagine depending on the ice today

that's so cool. reminds of the three stooges episode when they were ice vendors going up the long flight of steps with a block of ice.

Riverside4ever,

I just wanted to say that I did stop in to look at that ice harvest. They were just getting started and I could not stay. They had a pretty good crowd and I was early. I saw some youngsters trying their hand at cutting ice with the old saws. It looked like a pretty good place for historians and families. It was cold; but the weather was cooperating for the harvest. I think they said that they had a foot of ice.
