This reminds me of my old job at the local Redner's Grocery Store, where I had one customer come into my line one time and purchase $500 worth of gift cards to leave anonymously on the front porch of his next-door neighbors, who were desperately in need of help! I was touched by his chivalry, as I am with you as well!
To answer your question, Tobyhanna is about a half-hour or so south of Scranton's shopping areas, where there's a Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Sam's Club, Wegman's, Gander Mountain, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. Just five minutes from Tobyhanna is a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Mount Pocono, as well as Bill's Shur Save Supermarket. About 25 minutes to the south of Tobyhanna is the Stroudsburg area, with another Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Home Depot, and an upcoming Lowe's. Tobyhanna itself has very little in the way of businesses; it's mostly just a bunch of residential areas and the army depot.
I'd go with the Wal-Mart Supercenter gift card if you'd think they'd use it, as it's only five minutes away from them. The other two major chain areas are both around a half-hour, give or take, from Tobyhanna, so you'd have to be sure that they'd be willing to drive that far to use them.

This reminds me of my old job at the local Redner's Grocery Store, where I had one customer come into my line one time and purchase $500 worth of gift cards to leave anonymously on the front porch of his next-door neighbors, who were desperately in need of help!
