The budget bill H200 has passed 3d reading (72-47). No word yet on the EB benefits.
If the budget has passed the house with 72 votes does it not become veto proof? Does this not make the continuing resolution a moot point? Should not the legislature now pass a clean unemployment bill?
Yes, it has passed "veto-proof." It remains now to be seen what will happen with the EB benefits. Any news updates are welcome.
Well it looks like they got five Democrats to vote for it. This is extremely suspicious. is this a way for a few democrats to unofficially override the previous veto? I'm not sure at all. If you listen to Berger they had no plans on attaching the EB issue on another bill. They want the Dems to veto.
I will be extremely upset if they still force the DEMS to veto the previous bill when they got 5 of them to vote for their budget . BTW I have a feeling Purdue will veto this bill also just for the sake of it.

I don't know about for the sake of it, But I expect a veto.
Wow, I don't know what else to say in my e-mails to her to get her attention. She just does not care about the thousands of unemployed in North Carolina. I just don't get her.
Perdue is still saying that she thinks the 4 Democrats that voted for the budget will side with her when it hits her desk. She's already thinking Veto... why can't they just come to compromise? It's going to have to happen sooner or later so why drag this out? NC House gives final approval to its budget plan :: WRAL.com (http://www.wral.com/news/state/story/9550012/ - broken link)
