Apartments in Fayetteville (apartment complexes, homes, school district)

I've did some research online and the three apartment complexes that I've come up with are

Cobblestone
Heather Ridge Apartments
Southwinds Apartment Homes

Are any of you familiar with them? I'd like to know if they are safe, good schools, kid friendly, close to Ft. Bragg and stores, etc.

Heather Ridge is right by Methodist University and is the Pine Forest School District. Within 15-20 minutes of being on the base...Walmart and other stores are just down the street. Food Lion is the other direction. Plenty of restaurants.
