Will be visiting Fayetteville in 2wks for possible relocation. I've read many posts regarding areas to avoid. I've come across a couple of seemingly nice apts from various apartment finders, but as I realize that it is common practice to spring up 'nice' buildings in otherwise unsavy area in an attempt towards 'revitalization', I was hoping for feedback. Any thoughts on the Villagio or Westlakes at Morganton? Any recommendations regarding very nice, gated apt complexes in/around Fayetteville?

The Villagio looks great but my only concern it the area around it. There is a seedy motel (Tropical Motel) made up of single wide trailers next door. I have not visited the complex so hopefully they have good security. You can check Google maps.

The complexes on Morganton or Cliffdale are pretty nice. They are building apartments all over the place right now. There should be many to choose from.

The local "Apartment Finder" magazine should help. They have a website too.

I saw a nice place to day while showing houses. It is West Park Apartments, Brand new on Raeford Road.

Another one I passed by today was Independence Place Apartments on Yadkin road. Also brand new.

I think Meadowbrook at Kings Grant Apartments are what I'd consider luxurious. It is in North Fayetteville, though

You state them to be 'luxurious' BUT in North Fayetteville. Is N Fayetteville a bad area?

No! I don't think it's bad, it's just not close to the other apartments listed. I live far north and Cliffdale/Raeford Rds are close to a 30min drive from me

The Kings Grant area is nice. I would not worry about that.
