It depends on where they are working and how far they want to drive. If you can post some general info about this I may be able to make suggestions.

Has anyone heard anything about Cameron? It is 15 minutes south of Sanford, and my husband does not want to make a 30-45 minute commute to base with his hectic schedule.

It is a rural villiage of Harnett County known for it's antique shops. There is no direct access to post so you would have to go towards NC 87 or Southern Pines so it would be 30-45 min. You will find a lot of new developments going up in the NC-87 corridor betwween Sanford and Bragg. They would be your best bet for quick drive to post.

Sanford is a great place to be, and it is really growing! There are a lot of subdivisions popping up, as well as some lovely gated communities like Carolina Lakes. Easy commute, but little crime!

son in law being stationed at FB and hubby and I are going to move also so we are looking for a 3br for dtr and her family and 2 br for us. Not looking to rent a house so looking for apartment complexes but love the area and all we heard about it. Was our original choice but just wish there were more 3 BR apts in SP?

Southern Pines always has folks walking and doing outside activities, there is a good bike shop that rents bikes and puts together white water rafting trips and 4 tennis courts, basketball are open to the public.

Hope this helped.
Hi: your article had me very intrigued. Do you know of any 3 br apts near downtown SP? Moving down with dtr and her family and they need 3 br apt. We only need 2 br which they have plenty of but want to live near dtr and grandsons for when son in law is deployed. Thanks.

Try looking at Spring Lake in the Apartmentguide.com . They have four apt. complexes with 3 bedroom units, as low as $850/month . You can read up on Spring Lake in the forums.

I understand, but I have looked at Apartmentguide and Craigslist, and there are no 3-bedroom apartments in Southern Pines. I am assuming apartments in Southern Pines are not family-oriented, and I am trying to encourage GaleSue to look elsewhere.
