That's not the same place. Interestingly, the 1985 photo is pretty much what Charlotte looked like when the city was awarded the Hornets franchise.

Literally not the same place or figuratively?

I don't get it. It's literally pretty much the same exact angle only the 1985 pictures was slightly to the left and a tiny bit more zoomed in... But for the most part, it's the same angle...

Maybe I'm just not understanding a point you're trying to make because it's Monday.

Dole announced an HQ relocation toCLT. Dole confirmed their new HQ will be uptown

The Queen City is scoring a lot of Wins lately

SunTrust/BBT HQ, Honeywell HQ, Lowe’s technology division and Lending Tree HQ have all confirmed they will be coming uptown soon.

Imo, it’s super impressive uptown can gain these in favor of suburban places such as Ballantyne, SouthPark, etc

Duke Energy, with the announcement of their new tower today, which will be the 3rd largest in CLT, was developed to bring people from the suburbs to uptown.

John Kane, arguably Raleigh's most aggressive and successful developer, has partnered with Steve Malik, owner of NCFC and Carolina Courage soccer teams, to develop 40 acres just south of downtown Raleigh into a $1.5B mixed use project around a 20,000 seat soccer stadium, regardless of a MLS expansion awarded to the city.

Kane is the developer responsible for the ever-growing Midtown project that just seems to add phase after phase, the Peace/Smokey Hollow development that's just a block to the east of Glenwood South, and the future redevelopment of Raleigh's former Amtrak station on the other side of the tracks from Raleigh's new Union Station.

Thank you for the update. From a quick search I found a rendering (courtesy of Little Diversified Architectural Consulting) of this new building:
