Hello-
Just wondering if anyone knows of any fios jobs anywhere in NC yet? I have seen some buzz about fios going to NC soon on some other forums and am looking to relocate out of FL and a job in that field would be great for my husband.
Appreciate any info you guys might have!

The only true fiber optic city in NC is Wilson. It's located 35 miles east of Raleigh. I don't know about jobs. Launch is this spring. Thats all I can tell you.

My husband is a sub-contractor for Time Warner they have been hearing rumors about TWC installing all fiber lines sometime in the next year or so, but still it's just rumors. We too are FL transplants, my word of advice is be 100% sure are sold on NC before you move. After a year we are really regretting it. People and life here are so much different than FL, in some good ways, but moreso bad ways atleast to us.

Time Warner, or cable tv is always the last to do anything. It will be a long, long time before they actually bury all fiber lines....I mean fiber even to your house. 100% fiber.

Wilson, NC already has that. Some different company other than Time Warner did it. But it already has Time Warner shaking in their boots. Wilson was the only Time Warner system this year that did not raise their rates.....I wonder why....lol

I bet by this time next year Time Warner will be packing their bags to get out of Wilson.....because they will have no customers.
