I'm new to the whole thing here.....i'm sorry if it's a silly question.

I have a 2007 car that i bought on Dec '06.
am i required to get emission inspection for my car this year ?
I've heard in Atlanta you don't have to get your car inspected till it's 3 years old.

I just don't know how it works here in NC.

You will have to the end of this month to get the car inspected.

I think you have 30 days (but I'm not certain) from when you register your car (regardless of age) until it needs to be inspected. Also, that's my understanding for Wake Co. I'm not sure if it differs by county.

As far as I can tell, all vehicles regardless of age must be inspected yearly. The brand new car that I bought last year came with an inspection sticker that was good for one year, and I had to go get it inspected this year when the sticker expired.

Default Car Inspection

Yes, I have exactly the same situation and I just took my car in for an inspection and they did an emission inspection. They don't seem to check brakes here ( take off the tire and check pads) except for the emergency brake and the brake pedal. (from what I can tell, I could be wrong). My inspection cost $30.
