I need to have my car inspected and I don't know if a mechanic will do it. I was in a minor fender bender recently and my front bumper is somewhat dented in. It is till as drivable as it was before this accident and everything works fine. Will the mechanic still inspect it? I need an opinion please!

I don't think a dent will fail an inspection. How bad is it?

Default I bet they could pass inspection without the bumper. Inspections are more about emissions, rather than safety.

I could be wrong. Take it to Just Inspections on Highway 64 (New Bern Avenue) in Raleigh.

As long as the lights work, it ought to pass.

They check things like emissions, mirrors, lights and tires. They want to make sure you can drive it safely and it is not spewing bad things into the air. Anything else is up to the driver.

As long as you don't have damaged body parts in the process of falling off creating a safety hazard to others on the highway, you should be fine.

The last windshield inspection stickers were issued in October 2008.
