You are comparing apples to oranges. Compare apples to apples. The Sentra is a smaller and lighter car to begin with. The Spec V is the top model Sentra, so it is only fair to compare it with the 270 horsepower V6 Altima Coupe, not the base model. There is no comparison, the Altima blows the doors off the Sentra.
True, but he CAN compare the two because both the Sentra SE-R and the Altima base have the same size engine the QR25DE 2.5 liter engine. The Spec-V will have more power then the regular Sentra SE-R. So instead of comparing the SE-R Spec-V to the Altima 2.5 S, how about Compare the Sentra SE-R which generates 177 HP, the exact same the Altima 2.5 S coupe
Then you will not be comparing apples to oranges
Perhaps this is my own bias as I am an Altima owner. But I would pick the Altima coupe. Sentra is nice but it doesnt fit me and my style
The Altima has always been sexier then the Sentra anyway, even in the 90s when both of them were frumpy bland cars
thanks of for the input guys. las vegas drunk, i was only joking with you, i didn't mean to cause offense my neighbor has a 3.5 SL altima coupe and it is an awesome car, i just don't want to spend that much money. I should have pointed out in my original post that cost was the main concern.
What I think you should do is buy a bare bones Nissan Versa, buy a SpecV engine, drop that bad boy in the Versa, slap some wide low profile tires along with some wagon wheel size rims, bolt on a DIY wing/spoiler, bolt on some plastic body kit, get a big fat chrome pipe to glue to the muffler pipe, bolt on some anti-sway bars and show them off with under body lighting, then top it all off with a big blue bottle of nitrous (make sure you add a bleed off line inside the car for personal use).

Ugh! How could I have forgotten the most important thing to make a car go fast! Can you ever forgive my mistake? Seriously though, can you imagine how horribly the Versa would handle with a SpecV engine under the hood and driven to it's limits?

I use to own a spec v and it was a really fun car. You dont buy a spec v for the motor or how quick it is in a straight line, the suspension is really good. I use to auto x it and take it down back road twisties and was a blast.
