That's a real nice looking car- a bit bold and blingy with all the chrome, shark nose/mouth and kinks about the lighting elements but I like it. Now I wonder if they will finally drop the redundant Maxima- why do they still produce that car?

For the same reason Ford (used to) make Ford/Mercury.
My wife had an 03 Altima 2.5SL that she drove for 6 years. Real nice car. Great gas mileage, too. Took that thing on a few long road trips and it's a fine highway cruiser - very comfortable.
The new one looks sharp. Hope it's as solid as its predecessor.
Wow, that's a beautiful vehicle right there. Too bad I'm not in the market for a new car. My '06 Altima still runs perfectly and only has 85,000 miles on it. Wonder what the 2020 will look like, lol.
Not ugly, but nothing to go nuts about. It looks just like the Maxima in the front, and the actual Altima (and hints of the Maxima) in the rear.
I just never cared about these cars, and these designers didn't work hard enough to make the Altima worthy of a second look. I really don't see anything amazing/avant guard here. Not ugly, but nothing amazing or no Camry/Accord/Jetta beater here.
Moving along....
