Probably the same car except with wing doors

The Altima doesn't really have to look 'great'. The Accord, Camry, Passat, Fusion, etc all look eh. They're functional lowend vehicles. I didn't buy my Altima for looks. It's a piece of crap station car.

Not bad at all. What's up with the creeping size increases though? What happens to the Maxima now? I wonder if it gets put in that awkward place Toyota's Avalon is. An expensive cushy slow ride for older drivers.

I see the Maxima getting squeezed between the Altima below and Infiniti M37/G37 sedan above.

I also want to compare the Maxima with the Altima. However, the Maxima is 10K more. Plus it take premium gas.

Bryson - I guess 290 HP for mclarlm is slowwwww. I've had my Maxima for 2 months and have never and I mean NEVER had to push the gas pedal all the way to the floor. It just goes and goes fast quickly. Expensive...? Depends on your budget. Cushy... ok well it is comfortable. And no I'm not "older".

ok continue on with Altima talk. LOL

Nah, the Maxima is plenty fast, though I'm not used to the CVT. Nissan actually manages to make fun cars, and I don't want them to ruin the Maxima. But with the Altima moving up, I wonder what design decisions they'll face with a Maxima update. Adding more features and upping the price would put it in Infiniti range.

The Avalon is a boring air-cushioned sled, the Maxima rocks and I hope it retains its character.
