So I live in Rockland County (Spring valley) to be more specific and on Saturday I was thinking about going to 42nd st to shop and just explore around and I wanted to take the train out there but I don't really know how to..I was basically debating on which I should take the bus or the train and I'm leaning more towards the train I just need help on how I should take the train and which is better and cheap.

Please HELP!

Coach USA Rockland Coaches provides service from Spring Valley to NYC 42nd st bus terminal.
you can take the train to Secaucus and switch to the Penn station train there look at NJ transit.com

The train would be a little bit faster than the bus

The bus will actually be faster for you, as it will be more direct -- Goes right into 42nd Street.
Check the Coach USA website for schedules and stops.
