No one said it will “stop” but it reduces. And when you’re talking and chatting with someone at a close distance, then they are blowing air in your face. If you both wear masks, you will significantly limit any transmission.

You just proved my point. Healthcare workers have been wearing masks for years before COVID, then them wearing masks has nothing to do with COVID!

Healthcare workers in hospitals are dealing with people who are ill, who have open wounds, who are being cut open even. Prior to covid, if you went into your GP's office was he or his staff wearing a mask? Most hospital workers weren't wearing them either.
