A lot of people have free tests in the house, it's not necessary to run to urgent care anymore unless they're traveling or if its for a job.

Cdc updates covid guidelines. No more random testing for covid! (Except nursing home and such)

Ok even the Cdc is now on board. Might be time to shut this thread down soon. Its over folks.

Now, how do we convince our mayor that so he can end vaccine mandates to keep your job? Why we still have mandates at this point is beyond me...

Because govt rarely removes laws or restrictions they put in place. Would make them feel like they were wrong or lost. Only way would be constant protest. I think we are passed that. Americans give up too easily.

As I said sick enough to see a doctor.... Nowhere did I say people have to go to a doctor to get a covid test

Because if they trash them now, it'll be used as evidence in the pending class action lawsuits against the city by all the people who were fired (as if they need more). Also, keeps the door open to more silly restrictions so that they can manufacture "votes by mail" in the upcoming election cycles. Honestly I'm surprised they haven't partnered with Google or something to make voting exclusively by phone, gotta boost Hochul's numbers after all.

If only I can convince my parents that. They are still living like it’s 2020 and worse part about it is that I’m pressured to play along every time I’m with them. And that’s painful to do because now that I’ve tasted freedom and am living normally now, I don’t want to go back to living in paranoia again.

Sounds true but people have already started lawsuits and surprisingly have won: (as they should):

Maybe they can do the same in New York.
