ARE THERE ANY SUMMER PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WOULD GO DOWN TO ROCKAWAY BEACH, FAR ROCKAWAY , IN THE 1970,s. I REMEMBER SOME FROM THE BRONX ,THE BEACH PARTIES WERE GREAT .................

Not from the Bronx but I used to love going to Rockaway Beach especially when Rock Park was open. We used to go out there a couple of times per year. It was sad when they decided to close it down.

far rockaway is getting worse and worse everyday.

I lived in FR for a few years, collier and brier place. My family stills owns the house there. I loved the house, hated the commute to grand central.

coupled with the fact that my ex-wife now lives there i consider it hell!

I grew up in Jamaica, Queens, and we always went to the beaches at the Rockaways, and the Playland. Those were good good times!
