Do people feel safe in these 2 areas? (Court and Smith)

I think the areas are great with Brooklyn Heights so convenient and one stop to Manhattan it seems very convenient...

Would love to hear some thoughts???

I live around the corner from Court Street right on the border of Cobble Hill and Brooklyn Heights. This is a very nice, safe neighborhood with plenty of shopping and dining on Court, Smith, and Montague Streets. Transportation is very good here; since we have access to the 2/3/, 4/5, A/C, M, R, F, and G trains you can get pretty much anywhere in the city without having to transfer trains several times. I take the subway home from nights out in Manhattan and never feel unsafe walking home from the Borough Hall or Bergen Street stations at 2:00 A.M. This is a much nicer neighborhood than anywhere in Brooklyn I've seen, including Park Slope.

Default Looking for 3bdrm in Bklyn

Hi all:

I'm relocating to Bklyn from Cincinnati, OH in the next month for a teaching job. Will be teaching in Park Slope but can't afford the rents. Would appreciate any leads (no brokers, please) in Boerum, Kensington, Borough Park, Prospect, etc. Close proximity with affordable rent? I lived in Manhattan in the early 90's (Inwood) and am finally returning home (east coast at heart). Help, anybody...?

Thanks,
direct2Bklyn
