I thought it was crazy myself, was reading an article about city jobs and it mentioned it something about not being into too much debt, credit scores etc. Thanks for clarification.

I think when it comes to credit scores, it depends on the kind of agency you will be working for. For example, all law enforcement jobs they check your credit history. Might be an integrity issue..
Hey I have a serious question. Anyone know how to get the smell of diesel fuel out of your clothes? I washed them but the smell is still present.. anyone know anything that does the trick?

Pour some unleaded on them. The smell of diesel will disappear.
I live in Staten Island, I took 5 lessons for almost $700 (bus for test included). My list number is in the 1400's so just a matter of time when I get called, I hope but such a relief to have everything done when they do call. The test wasnt bad, I was just very nervous and the instructor was tough. Scored a 90 out of 100.
Remember, you need your permit first, go to DMV get the book and study. Air brakes, tanker and general knowledge. Also have to get passenger endorsement for the driving school so you can drive the bus. Any questions let me know!

I use Ariel powder detergent, cheap at home depot. Gets rid of some nasty smells and works good on stains too.
