Just so you guys know I was at Pre-Orientation today and yesterday. Both days about 20 people didn't show up. At least half of the applicants do not have their CDL yet. The first 2 classes will have 100 people and the last will have 75. That info comes directly from The Director of Human Resources, who talked to us today. I think you will be good to go for sometime this summer based just on what I've seen and solely my opinion, but I wouldn't even comment at all if I didn't think you were goo to go for this year. Really? REAAAAAAAALLLLLLLYYYYY? I can't believe that many people already aren't showing up. That's similar to end end of the last test seven years later. I he's a certain percentage must take these tests to never want the job
You got it. Also there were supposed to be 70 people both days and there were only about 50 each time. Plus, the bald guy running the show mentioned that more applicants will be going for pre orientation starting again on the 31st. Just figured I'd share as much info as I can recall.

HR director said classes will be July 10, August 15, and potentially September 11. The first four (4) groups fro pre-orientation have the greatest shot of getting on this year, but just like Jnolan said, several ppl from the first 3 groups do not have their CDL or CDL permit.
279 is right now. A lot of things with the mayor and elections are causing departments to be slow. All are going thru it. Should change after first class goes in. This from someone on the political side of things with the union
HR Director mentioned that 56 SW's got promoted to the supervisor level and was hoping that they would add those empty slots to current 275 slots, but they told her no... hopefully that will change and they will add more slots...
I believe there was a 5.16 class as well? maybe a class today as well...not sure - i could def be wrong.
Hr director said 56 showed up monday, 55 on tuesday and 54 yesterday....
Sounds about right I think..definitely none today or tonorrow
