The pre orientation and medical is stressful enough at least I didn't want to have to worry about getting the license on top of that. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it to get it ahead of time. Having the license is one less thing and one step closer to getting on.

CDL - In Progress. I should have my road test complete by end of month.

For per-orientation, I am getting my paperwork together. Am I missing anything that I might need?

- Proof of citizenship
- Birth Certificate
- US Passport
- Proof of address
- DMV Driver Abstract
- Employment History
- CDL B License with Tanker and Air Brakes
- Letters from the DSNY stating I passed the Written Test and Physical
- Anything Else?

For the medical - I'm assuming just show up well rested with the letter received in the mail?

You may want to get into decent shape to pass the medical if you're not, such as getting your blood pressure down. Start eating better and doing some cardio & weight lifting. You might wind up in a spot where you're loading 13-15 tons or you might wind up just doing baskets or the broom.
