If you have some real development experience, you could work with a headhunter and depending on the situation, you might even be able to negotiate a relocation package. Not many non-executive jobs in NYC offer relo packages, but as I said, good programmers are hard to find!
I'm a software product manager, so I have first-hand experience with this. In fact, DM me your resume if you have any experience with embedded platforms (specifically small low-power devices with embedded Linux)

I have worked with Java, C++ and lately C#. When I get some time I will send you my resume.
Also this is for anyone else I have a two year degree and 40 credits left to finish a 4 year. I also have a few programming certifications. Would it be a smart move to head to NYC and finish up my degree part time if I was offered a good job? Or should I stay in MN, finish up my degree then head to NYC?
Right now I'm 27 years old and I don't wanna keep pushing off my plans to move to NYC. Lots of thinking and decisions I have to make.
