I want to buy a carpet, like a 9 x 12 or close.
ABC qoted me a $200 delivery charge...in essence saying they don't want to deliver.

I found a nice heavy 8 x 12 at Costco but Costco doesn't deliver. Rolled up the thing is 8 feet long.

Any suggestions on the cheapest least aggravating way to get this thing home? (UES)

I was lucky and got my air conditioner bought online and shipped free.

(No car!)

If you have to ask on here then I figure you are too cheap to
hire a man with van off Craigslist. A full size cargo van should
do the job. But I know you aren't willing to pay the minimum
rate of $60.00 because you are going to say, oh it's just a straight
shot or it's just a couple of miles.

So, that leaves you with these 2 options, U-Haul or Zip car, good
luck with either of those two options.

Has anyone used a man with van or piclup truck from Craigslist for a small delivery?
Anyone you can recommend?

(Does Enterprise Rental have a lower Manhattan outlet? I've only used Hoboken or Jersey City.)

edit: Found one on East 85th...gee, rental prices have soared since I last rented. Huge price differece between Manhattan and Jersey City. Minivan: $74.99 in J.C...$193.48 on 85th St.

(Does anyone have a little red wagon I could borrow)
