My super says not to worry about it, they will be fine. Curious of other opinions or what you all are doing.

If you're liable for it, remove it. If your super is liable for it, take his/her advice.

I think all NY'ers should take their A/C units out whenever the winds might possibly go above 30 mph and put them back in the next day.

I think some people should find some hobbies and more fulfillment in their lives.

Not everyone can take out their airconditioner. In some cases, it is fixed in the window.

Better safe than sorry.

Take it out if at all possible. You don't want a freak gust, especially if you're on a higher story, sending that thing either in your home or causing damage to the frame of the window and thus exposing you to the elements.

Let's all remember that Katrina made landfall twice, once as a weak storm where it was thought to be done for... then as a much more powerful storm as it displaced thousands upon thousands of people and led to deaths (1 death is 1 death too many).

The time to worry is now. Even if you don't feel you've got a reason, you should at least be ready for the worst case scenario.
