Hey I would like to share my experience so far with Nycha ...

I was selected through the outreach program for a 2bedroom apt in staten island 10/08/20
I had an interview 11/18/20
I was certified to the development I choosen 12/10/20 with priority N4
Now the real waiting begins .. I really don’t know when I’ve applied.

Hope everyone get their blessing before the new year because I’m praying I do GOOD LUCK EVERYONE !

Will we all are in the same boat so i've been talking to housing workers in the development i've pick in brooklyn which they tell me that there so many empty vacancies that are available the thing is it is covid but always the management officer workers are being rude and lazy they don't really want to do they job they not telling the ground workers what apartments really need to be repaired i call the office and they blame it on the ground workers being lazy so its extra slow with nycha period.....also i picked the development that works for me and my husband and son to be by close family and friends in case we need help with the baby but a lot of people that been through this process already told me that you should always pick the biggest development out of the list that its a better chance of getting called faster to move into a unit because of more apartments that will be available.... I'm going to continue to pray for us all that we get that call sooner then later so we can all be in our apartments its very stressful when you get the interview call and the eligible process goes by so fast then its like you get hit and everything slows back down knowing that your development has these available apartments that we can be in right now but no one is helping too speed things up and get things done but the man upstairs got us so lets try to keep the faith

I’ve been told it’s slow because of COVID but I’m not seeing how because some are getting called for apts I’m seeing others moving but I’m going to keep faith hopefully one of these days we all hear some good news
