This is the one I found and the one I use to call whenever I had a question. 347-738-5158. Have you used that number?

NY343 - Astoria has 468 low/middle income lotteries coming up, but i don't think that'll be accepting applications till late 2015. It's on the N/Q train, last stop at Ditmars. I believe it's a 10-15 min walk from the train.

In the news. But that seriously looks like a 2015/2016 thing. Not something around the corner in a month or two.

Astoria residents are livid because they said the mega complex will only make rents unaffordable because the area will be supper trendy.

Otherwise, they might as well go rent in the neighboring buildings that are offering more for less.

On top of that, 90% of the building is a middle income lottery so I don't know anybody who would want to spend $5,500.00 on rent when everyone else in the building is paying $2,100.00 and under for the exact same thing. Why pay an extra 3K plus for the exact same thing? There is going to be nothing but tension and maybe even some hatred where social class will come into play.

Not sure where you received this info, i viewed the top 2 floors as well as the lower floors at an open house and the apartments are VERY different. The top floor apartments are obviously much bigger, with higher quality finishes (cabinetry, flooring, appliances, fixtures) and all have a balcony or a terrace. Have you seen the units? Maybe someone gave you bad info

I have seen the units. A realtor showed it to me since the 2 top floors have been on the rental market for over a month now. Forget about the name brands and the marble counter tops.

Think about the dynamics and the decotonomy between the 2 classes. Everyone wants cheap rent. Paying 5K versus someone paying 1K in the same building breeds resentment and tension. Trust me it does.

It's like you're saying: there's no tension between whites and blacks.

Nobody believes that and I know you surely don't so don't play ya self!!!!

NYnewYorker, why did you lose interest?

I know someone who moved over the summer and still got the lower priced units even though they said those were all taken. That's how disorganized those people were. They'd says one thing and the next something else would happen.

Decotonomy? do you often make up words? There will be no tension and resentment because the people paying more rent will have better apartments!! you're showing me a nissan and a mercedez and you're telling me they're the same
