Congratulations New Orleans! WWL has called the race within 15 minutes. Mayor Mitch Landrieu will get another 4 years. What I'm even more proud of is almost 50% of the Black Vote went to Mayor Landrieu. I don't believe the man is perfect. Certainly he has made many questionable decisions but when people SEE PROGRESS it's hard to knock that.

Many will probably disagree with me because they just dont like Mitch but mark my word...MITCH LANDRIEU IS THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS STATE RIGHT NOW WHO COULD BEAT BOBBY JINDAL.

1. Im not Anti-Bobby Jindal as many are. I think a few of Jindals plans have benefited a lot of people. I know most blacks won't agree with me but thats cool. Im not Emotional Political. I'm Economical.

2. Mitch is part of a pipeline that brings money to Louisiana. Thats very important. You dont change your representative when the pipeline is positioned in our favor. Many say money is not equally distributed. That may be true but u can blame the City Council for that as well.

3. Beyond New Orleans, people have a great perception of how New Orleans has progressed since Katrina. No, Mitch can't take credit for all of it but he can take credit for the continuous progress. This city's numbers and stats right now are higher than ever. With every major city in this state being majority black or Democrat Mitch's pipeline from his sister to the President would create a problem for Jindal.

4. Mitch is a money machine. He announced his re-election in 2010 and raised $2.8M to campaign with. That's Gubernatorial money!

Mitch projected himself as the steady hand guiding the city along. Whether that's right or wrong, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. None of his challengers could come up with persuasive reasons that they should be Mayor; Bagneris just ran on the "I'm not Landrieu" platform.

Oh, and Jindal is term-limited. We'll almost certainly get another one of these dinosaur (literally) Republicans. Just hope it's not Vitter.
