Thanks Song
I am not sure about the potluck, but we will try to make it. We plant to be there by noon on friday. Will it be ok if I bring store-bought to the potluck?

Green Chiles! Now you have my attention! We got 2 boxes from walmart in Hobbs last year roasted. They were from Hatch and were delicious. I am getting very low and will need some soon.

You can bring whatever you would like to the potluck if you come or you don't have to bring anything at all. There will be plenty of food.

Default Hungry Horse Loop

My lot is on Hungry Horse Loop which is connected to Shallow Creek Rd. at the bottom of the property. This is near Tres Marias Dr. I know this was not far from the fire but I have not been able to find out exactally where the fire burn area was at. Does anyone know the fire boundries?
Kathy

Hi Kathy,

Go to Timberon.org and click on buckwood fire and there is an outline of the area. The furthest north is Dixwood, so I am not sure of the exact area.

Hope you will be up for July 4th. We have a fun day planned .
Jane

Hi Jane,
Thanks for the URL and Buckwood fire tip. I looked on the map and my lot is 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile outside the red zone. I'm so glad my beautiful trees did not burn!
I don't think I will be up for July 4th, I have to be in Indiana for a family reunion. I hope you all have lots of fun.
Kathy

If you want to meet any of us, contact Song or myself and we can arrange that.

Have fun in Indiana.

I am still recuperating from the Pot luck! The food was incredible an the program to honor those who worked the fire was very meaningful. Shelly and I had fun at the golf tournament, and hope to be back very soon. It was very nice meeting some of those I have chatted with over the last several weeks and I hope we can continue to keep in touch!
