Ok, so I'm watching the news this evening and, they are showing New Years celebrations from around the USA and the World The fireworks, the seas of people, and the NYC Ball Drop in Times Square we know, is the Biggie

There were also some newer things they showed that happened
A Peach Drop, a Pickle Drop, a Fish Drop, an Apple Drop; one in Asia? had a huge red high-heeled shoe Drop and in the huge shoe was a transvestite lounge singer LOL

So when is New Mexico going to get a Beautiful Lighted Chile Ristra Drop?! LOL

I think it would be prettier than all of these others myself

What do you think of this?
Yeah, yeah sort of silly but Huge crowds come and have fun and "spend money" in the Tow where these things happen LOL
Fun idea or bad?
It certainly would be NM indigenous!

Where would you have it held? (town)
Juuust thinkin'..........

Speakin' of spending (spent), I'm off, I think hootin' and hollerin', jumpin' up and down from my chair (yeah yellin' at the TV too LOL) over that Hockey game wore me Out! Whoa LOL
But I'll be interested in seeing your thoughts on a "Chile Drop" (unless there is one I don't know about in NM!)

Or would a Chile (roasted?) fight like they do in Italy? or Spain in the streets every year, with Tomatoes.......Naaaaw LMBO!

Tia Dalma- wonderin'

New Mexico is way way way too cool for stuff like that.

I have never been tempted to trek to Times Square for that seething mass of semi-inebriated/hysterical humanity. I can barely tolerate the place on a good day: ie: non-event. I would however, be willing to go outside New Years eve and look up at the bright, visible stars and make up chile-constellations
