I guess it depends on the special occasion etc. I have been taking out of state guests to the 'The County Line', Tramway Blvd at Tramway Road, Albuquerque for years. The food and service has always been good. My guests have always been impressed. The view is astounding.

NOOOOOOooooooooo....not in any way, shape, form or steak. They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence.
I've tried to like the Rt 70 place, but it doesn't seem to love me. Uneven service, more than uneven steaks, and disappointing sides. I SO wish it was a great place.
15 minutes from my house, compared to a good hour or more to Indian Cliffs ranch...and I'd much prefer the long drive and the steak at the end of it.

I'm an adventurous and (usually) non-judgemental eater, but fried 'cado sounds only slightly better than fried snickers bar or fried twinkie. I'll try it someday, though.....in the interests of science.

I"ll look forward to trying some of the other suggestions I haven't visited, though. Nuthin' wrong with research!
I trust this is the establishment: Indian Cliffs Ranch, tx - Google Maps

I am on fire with Google Street View and their expanded locations today.
